Ibiza's Untold Pre-Rave Glory Revealed!
Before the massive raves and electronic beats took over, Ibiza harbored a different kind of party scene. In the early '80s, the island was a vibrant hub for European club kids, a place where the night transformed the streets into open-air nightclubs, far removed from today's crowded dance floors. Derek Ridgers, a photographer on a family holiday in 1983, captured this unique era with his lens, highlighting a time when Ibiza was a haven for the beautiful and the bohemian, dancing under the moonlight in eclectic fashion. These photographs, lost to time and only recently exhibited, offer a glimpse into an Ibiza that once was – an island untouched by the commercial rave culture it would later become synonymous with.
