New Netflix Film Brings Ibiza to the Screen
Netflix recently released Disco, Ibiza, Locomía, a film that highlights the journey of the iconic Spanish band Locomía and their unique ties to Ibiza’s vibrant club scene. One notable moment in the movie is Locomía’s performance for Freddie Mercury at his 41st birthday party. This unexpected encounter left a lasting impact on both the band and Mercury.

Disco, Ibiza, Locomía is streaming on Netflix.
Locomía performed for Freddie Mercury in 1987.
The performance took place at the famous Ku Club (now Privilege).
Mercury bought clothes from Locomía’s Xavier Font in Ibiza.
Mercury wore shoes designed by Font in his final music video.

Last week, a French tourist, evidently inebriated, was dramatically rescued after scaling a massive crane in Ibiza's Puig des Molins. Clad only in swim trunks, the man’s perilous stunt drew a sizable crowd, culminating in a tense, yet safe descent aided by local police.
A Ryanair flight from Manchester to Ibiza was diverted to Toulouse after a drunken British passenger caused havoc, assaulting both crew and passengers. The altercation, fueled by jealousy and neat vodka, led to dramatic scenes of police intervention right on the tarmac. Watch the video footage.
Spanish authorities seized a staggering 700kg of pink cocaine and ecstasy, valued at £21 million, in a major raid across Ibiza and Malaga, targeting a network frequented by British tourists. The operation, which also led to the arrest of nine individuals, underscored the growing concern over deadly party drugs infiltrating popular holiday destinations.

Cova de Llevant
About
Cova de Llevant is a large cave with a hole in it’s roof. Taken from the right angle, you can take a photo that makes it look as if you are standing on a bridge over the sea.
The walk to the cave is listed in the book Secret Walks Ibiza North and takes 1.5-2 hours. As well as the cave, you will walk past ancient disused bee hives and a secret cove.
